Xia Yuanba is the son of Xia Hongyi and younger brother of Xia Qingyue. He has a close relationship to his brother-in-law, Yun Che. From a young age, Yuanba was best friends with Yun Che due to the child betrothal of his sister.
Due to the birth of his sister, he only had 10% fusion-able Primordial Energy at birth, therefore, he was born with the legendary Tyrannical Emperor's Divine Veins. This body enables him the potential of a High-Rank Star Realm King.
In Yun Che's first life, Yuanba was the only child of the Stainless Divine Body and was destined to awaken the unprecedented Divine Body of Great Rage, the potential of a peak True God.

Xia Yuanba is a young man with a sturdy and tall body. At age 15, he was already over 2 meters tall and weighed 175kg. This number was definitely not that high because Yuanba was fat, but was instead because of his big strong muscles. His muscles were of a dark tan metallic luster and broadcasted his astonishing strength.[7] At his 20's, he could physically be compared to Lu Lengchuan.[8] He also has "tiger eyes" and is a muscular young man that resembled a tiny mountain.[9]
He used to be a dark and skinny child, but had an enormous growth spurt when he was 8 years old. It caused him to have a huge muscular physical stature, but his profound strength and cultivation talent was very low.
After awakening the Tyrannical Emperor's Divine Veins, his physique became even more huge and muscular.
In Yun Che's first life, Yuanba at ten years old was about half a head taller than eleven year old Yun Che, and his physique was unnaturally thin, only because there was little to no fat in his body. It was the kind of muscular physique that only a trained person could acquire. It almost felt like every cell in his body was hibernating or something. They were just waiting for a great power to awaken them all.[10] The fifteen-year-old Xia Yuanba looked extraordinarily handsome. He was still a little thin, and his skin color seemed a tad lighter than normal. This lightness was a sort of cold, metallic sheen was hovering right above his skin, and it was what gave him a whiter complexion.[11] This was his true appearance until an extraordinary change overtook him when Yun Che was sixteen years old.

When he was growing up, he was very timid person and always was under Yun Che's protection. His personality was very naive, warm and trusting. He consistently loyal to his brother-in-law and thinks of him as his close relative, his Big Brother.
When his weakness caused the 'supposed' death of Yun Che, Yuanba underwent a drastic mental change. He wanted to become someone who can protect his family instead of a weakling. After Yun Che 'died' to save him, Yuanba's attitude changed drastically, becoming very tyrannical eventually leading to his Tyrannical Emperor's Divine Veins to awaken. Following the awakening of his veins, Xia Yuanba became very cold, giving little attention to matters that do not involve those close to him, possessing a subconscious desire to fight the strong. When he's in front of Yun Che, he goes back to the warm and loving person he was before.
He is very loyal to his close family. He is more devoted to Yun Che than his master and on multiple occasions tried to help Yun Che over his loyalty to his master and sect. Due to this loyalty, Yuanba has a running gag of charging towards Yun Che and hug him to greet Yun Che after a period of absence.
As long as Xia Yuanba revealed his relationship with Yun Che, he would absolutely scare the crap out of the middle rank star realm king who wanted to accept him as his personal disciple just now. But he doesn't want to. In this Realm of the Gods, with a new starting point, he wants to grow step by step with his own feet and in his own footsteps.
Xia Yuanba had experienced many things in his life, and after his Tyrannical Emperor’s Divine Veins had fully awakened, and he had become the Saint Emperor of the Absolute Monarch Sanctuary, he was no longer the inexperienced boy he was before. In fact, he was growing shrewder and shrewder with each passing day. Ever since his Tyrannical Emperor’s Divine Veins had completely awakened, he had turned into a complete cultivation maniac with almost zero interest in anything else.[12]

When his Divine Veins are active, he becomes extremely arrogant and domineering. Yuanba acts as a tyrant, condescending his opponents.
Background[]
Xia Yuanba was born two years after Xia Hongyi married Yue Wugou. He used to be a dark and skinny child and was often bullied. Yun Che was his only childhood friend, and he has always called him 'brother-in-law'. When he turned eight, he had an enormous growth spurt and his height, weight, physical strength, and appetite all soared.[7] However, due to the unique nature of his profound veins, he general aptitude was extremely low and did not experience much growth in his profound strength. It remained stuck in the Elementary Profound Realm for several years and was the Elementary Profound Realm 4th Level at age 15.
This was because he was born with a unique set of profound veins called the Tyrannical Emperor's Divine Veins, which unawakened state prevents Yuanba from advancing like normal cultivators.
Plotline[]
After Yun Che was expelled from the Xiao Clan, Yuanba wanted to train to become stronger so that he can help his brother-in-law. He joined New Moon Profound Palace thanks to his father's relationship with Vice Palace Chief Sikong Han. He was reunited with Yun Che there shortly.[14] Xia Yuanba was later allowed to join Blue Wind Profound Palace in the capital city despite not meeting the entrance requirements due to Yun Che's relationship with Cang Yue.[15]
Yun Che invited him to tag along and watch the Blue Wind Ranking Tournament. It was there that Yun Che had to sacrifice his life to save Yuanba from the 'demon' trapped in the Heaven’s Might Soul Suppressing Formation. Yuanba was extremely heartbroken and also hateful towards his own lack of strength. He became determined to not be a weakling anymore so he decided to leave on his own journey.[16]
Xia Yuanba traveled toward the strongest nation, Divine Phoenix Empire. He would encounter many life or death situations with profound beasts and fights against other profound practitioners. Every time he was on the edge of death, his divine veins would explode with tremendous power and afterwards he would experience a large rise in profound strength. He also challenged the many powerful sects in Divine Phoenix City but was beaten half to death every time. This was when Spiritual Master Gu Cang met Yuanba and told him about his special veins. Spiritual Master Gu Cang took him as a disciple and that's how he joined Absolute Monarch Sanctuary.[17]
Xia Yuanba met Yun Che again during the Seven Nation Ranking Tournament where he tried to storm the stage as a Blue Wind contestant but Yun Che talked him out of it.[8] During this visit to Divine Phoenix he was also able to meet his father again at the Black Moon Merchant Guild.[17]
He explored the Primordial Profound Ark with Yun Che and also requested a life saving teleportation talisman from his master for Yun Che.[18] They also met Feng Xue'er and they explored the ark together. They were ambushed by Ye Xinghan and Feng Feiyan and Xia Yuanba held both of them off while Yun Che and Feng Xue'er escaped. He was not able to beat two late stage Overlords but using the power of his divine veins he was able to kill Feng Feiyan before being knocked out.[13]
In reality, Xia Yuanba's divine veins was only in the preliminary stages of awakening. When he put is life on the line to save Yun Che in the Primordial Profound Ark his veins started to fully awaken[13], causing his strength to rapidly soar into the Sovereign Profound Realm and continue towards the Divine Realm.[19]
Monarch Xia Yuanba eventually returned to Blue Wind Empire upon learning about Divine Phoenix Empire's invasion after leaving his closed cultivation, wiping out its army into a flat ground with his punch. Later, Yuanba tried to hug the returned Yun Che, but was evaded by his brother-in-law out of muscle-hug fear.
Xia Yuanba had always been groomed to be the next leader of the Sacred Ground due to the immense growth potential of his divine veins. His master treated him with respect and the previous Saint Emperor Huangji Wuyu favored him and let him use the Heavenly Sacred Divine Ark. Xia Yuanba became the 'Saint Emperor' of Absolute Monarch Sanctuary ahead of schedule due to Yun Che's influence.[20]
Several years later, Yun Che's return from the Realm of the Gods through the Nirvana Rebirth allowed Yuanba the chance to advance to the Divine Origin Realm (Blue Pole Star's environment restrains cultivation speed) by a drop of the Divine Water of Life given by Shen Xi. He agreed to Yun Che to wait two years, stabilizing his Divine Origin Realm, before heading to the Realm of the Gods.[12]
Later, Yun Che through his words indirectly cuts off their brother-in-law relationship with Chi Wuyao and Xia Hongyi as witnesses. However after learning about Qingyue's truth,[2] Yun Che restores "Brother-in-Law" as his title and dispelling Yuanba's previous knot of his sister as ruthless and heartless rumored. They still stay as brothers in private even during Yuanba's discipleship into a Middle Rank Star Realm sect of the Southern Divine Region.
Due to learning about his sister's death, Yuanba further awakens his Tyrannical Emperor's Divine Veins.

However in this Yun Che's life, his 10% Primordial Energy fused Divine Body gave him a thin, but strong muscular body, a proud talent and eyes that seemed to be able to pierce the soul.[10] He was the number one genius in Floating Cloud City and was invited to join the Blue Wind Profound Palace by age 15.[11] He had a tough and domineering personality since he was a child, and he was not afraid of anyone.[22] To allow Xia Qingyue's birth by Xiao Lingxi's wish, the unused 90% Primordial Energy was extracted by the Ancestral God, degrading Yuanba to possess the Tyrannical Emperor's Divine Veins in the current timeline.[23]
